Get into field marketing. Properly.
Field marketing is one of the most in-demand jobs in B2B tech, and one of the hardest to break into. There is no degree for it and no junior route in. This course is the route in: the skills, the language, and a live project for a real company on your CV.

What field marketing is
The part of marketing you can't do from a laptop.
Field marketing is B2B marketing that happens face to face. The roundtables, the industry events, the regional campaigns and the account programmes that put a salesperson next to the one person who can move a deal.
It is not "the events person". Done well, a field marketer owns a territory with sales, decides which accounts matter, gets them in the room, and reports the result in pipeline, not headcount. That is the version of the job this course teaches.
At its core it is a relationship-building job. AI can write the report and build the list. It can't earn the trust of a buyer, or turn a first conversation into a second one. That part is done by people, and it is the part companies pay for.
Who it's for
People who want to work in tech without writing code: events professionals, hospitality and account managers, graduates, career changers, and marketers stuck in "brand" roles who want to own a number.
What you need
No marketing degree. No SaaS experience. You need to be organised, comfortable talking to senior people, and willing to do real work for a real company over six weeks.
Where you finish
Able to walk into a tech company interview with a certificate of completion, a real project on your CV, and the vocabulary to talk about events in pipeline. That combination is what hiring managers can't find.
What you'll learn
Ten weeks. Four foundations, then six weeks of real work.
Live online sessions one evening a week, UK time, all recorded. Then a six-week project for a host company, run in weekly sprints with a check-in every week.
- Week 1FoundationHow a SaaS company makes moneyWhat SaaS is, how a B2B deal moves from first conversation to signature, who the buyers are, and where marketing sits. The vocabulary that makes you sound like you belong: pipeline, ARR, ICP, target accounts.
- Week 2FoundationWhat a field marketer does all dayField marketing versus demand generation versus brand. The field marketer's year. Planning a territory with sales, picking the accounts that matter, and where account-based marketing fits.
- Week 3FoundationBuilding an event with sales, not for themFormats and what each is for: roundtables, partner events, third-party shows, roadshows and regional programmes. Target lists built with sales, instructions to the reps, and the 48-hour follow-up window planned before anything is booked.
- Week 4FoundationReporting in pipelineWhat a sales leader wants the morning after. Follow-up that turns badge scans into meetings. Attribution basics, working inside a CRM, and presenting results in a way a CFO respects, so nobody calls you the events person again.
- Weeks 5 to 10Live projectSix weeks delivering for a host companyA real B2B company gives the cohort a live brief. In small groups you plan and run a field programme end to end: territory plan, target accounts, event design, sales enablement, follow-up and reporting. Weekly sprints and a weekly check-in with me.
- ThroughoutGetting hiredTurning the project into a jobHow to talk about your project on a CV and LinkedIn, what field marketing interviews really ask, and how to present a number. Plus honest advice on titles, salaries, and where the roles are.
Syllabus for cohort one. Order and timing are adjusted to fit the host company's brief.

The live project
Experience is the thing nobody will give you. So it's built in.
Everyone in field marketing got in sideways, because the job is learned on the job and you can't get the job without the experience. The live project breaks that loop.
For six weeks the cohort works on one real brief for a host company: a deliverable their marketing team will use. You research, plan and produce it in weekly sprints, present your progress to me each week, and hand over a finished piece of work you can put your name to.
- A real B2B company brief, scoped with the company before kickoff
- A weekly check-in with me to review progress
- Every output reviewed by me before it reaches the company
- A finished deliverable and a written debrief you can reference in interviews
- Priority on future host-company talent introductions
Projects are public with one exception: some briefs are confidential and covered by a simple NDA. The host company for cohort one is confirmed to enrolled students before kickoff.
Career coaching
Not ready for the course? Start with a conversation.
Some people don't need ten weeks. They need someone who does the job to look at their CV, tell them which of their skills already count, and show them where the roles are.
I offer one-to-one career coaching for people trying to get into field marketing: repositioning your experience, rewriting your CV and LinkedIn for tech hiring managers, and preparing for the interview questions this job asks.
Single session
Sixty minutes on whatever is in your way: your CV, a job description you're weighing up, an interview next week, or the honest question of whether this is the right move. £175.
Break-in package
Four sessions over eight weeks with a CV and LinkedIn rewrite, a mock interview, and email support between sessions. For people actively applying who want a practitioner in their corner. £500.
Course + coaching
Do the Academy, then use the Break-in package while you apply. The course gives you the skills and the project; the coaching gets it onto a CV and into a job. £1,300.
Pricing
Founding cohort pricing
Cohort one is priced as a founding cohort, before CPD certification. From cohort two the course is CPD Certified and the price rises to £1,750. Many employers will pay for professional training from a learning and development budget, and I'll send you the wording to ask.

I have no marketing background. Is this for me?
Yes, if you're organised and comfortable talking to senior people. Most of the best field marketers I know came from events, hospitality, sales support or account management. The course starts from what SaaS is, so you're not expected to know the industry.
I work in events or hospitality. Do I still need this?
You already have the hardest part. What's missing is the commercial layer: how a B2B deal works, how to plan with sales, and how to talk about an event in pipeline rather than headcount. That's what the course adds, and it's what the job interview tests.
How is the course delivered, and how much time does it take?
One live online session a week, in the evening UK time. Every session is recorded and posted the following day. Plan for four to six hours a week including the project work. The course runs on Thinkific, where you'll find the recordings, materials and your cohort.
Is the course CPD Certified?
Not yet, and I'd rather say that plainly than put a logo on the site before it's earned. CPD accreditation is planned once cohort one has run, so from cohort two the course is CPD Certified and priced at £1,750. Cohort one gets the founding price, the same teaching and live project, and a certificate of completion from the Field Marketing Club.
CPD certification means a course has been assessed as structured professional learning. It's the mark most UK employers recognise when approving training from a learning and development budget. It is not a degree or a regulated qualification.
What is the live project, exactly?
A six-week piece of real work for a host company. The company gives the cohort a brief. In small groups you plan and deliver a field programme for it, with weekly check-ins. The company gets a usable piece of work; you get a project with a company name on it and a written debrief you can use in interviews.
Which company will we work with?
Cohort one's host company is a B2B SaaS business selling to a specialist buyer. It's confirmed to enrolled students before kickoff. If you're a company that would like to host a future project, read this.
Will this get me a job?
No course can promise that, and be wary of any that does. What I can say is that the combination employers can't find is someone who understands SaaS, has done a real field project, and can present a number. You leave with all three, plus getting-hired sessions and, if you take the bundle, coaching while you apply.
Is this the same as joining the Field Marketing Club?
No. The Club is the professional body and community for people already working in field marketing. The Academy is the course for people getting in. Membership doesn't include the course, and the course doesn't include membership. Many graduates will want both, but they're separate.
Can my employer pay?
Often, yes. Professional training is usually expensable from a learning and development budget. Email me and I'll send you a short paragraph to give your manager, plus an invoice if your company needs one.
What if I can't make a live session?
Every session is recorded and posted the following day, so you can catch up in your own time. The weekly project check-in is the one thing to protect, because your group depends on you.
How do I get a place?
Cohort one starts Monday 12 October 2026. Buy a place from the pricing section, or join the waitlist and I'll email you the moment enrolment opens. Places are limited so the project stays manageable for the host company.
