About
I built the course I needed when I started.
I'm Nancy Olaoye. I didn't set out to work in field marketing. I was recruited into SaaS and had to figure the job out fast, as Global Head of Marketing and Events at Zilliant. That's where I discovered field marketing. The Academy exists so the next person doesn't have to learn it the hard way.

Why the course exists
Field marketing has no degree, no grad scheme and no junior role.
Every field marketer I know learned the job by doing it. That's fine once you're in. It's a wall if you're not, because the job is learned on the job and you can't get the job without the experience.
Meanwhile the role is getting more valuable. Budgets are tighter and the pressure to prove pipeline is higher, so companies want fewer, better events and someone who can plan them with sales and report the result. That's a skill, and it can be taught.
The Academy teaches it in ten weeks: four weeks of foundations, then six weeks of real work for a host company, so you finish with a project you can put your name to.
What I believe
Field marketing is a commercial job, not an events job. The people who do it well own a territory with sales and talk in pipeline. That's the version I teach.
How it's taught
Live, small, and practical. One evening session a week, all recorded, and a project with real stakes. Every output is reviewed before it reaches the company.
The Club and the Academy
The Field Marketing Club is the professional body for people already doing the job. The Academy is the course for people getting in. They're separate on purpose: membership doesn't include the course, and the course doesn't include membership.

About Nancy
Practitioner first, teacher second.
I'm a London-based B2B marketer and I've worked across four continents. I was recruited into SaaS as Global Head of Marketing and Events at Zilliant, learned field marketing on the job, and built the programmes that go with it: regional campaigns, customer advisory boards, reference programmes, and a European conference I grew from a small room to a couple of hundred people. Since then I've led field and customer marketing in SaaS companies, and I now work as a fractional field and customer marketing lead alongside building the Club and the Academy.
Before marketing I studied law. I mention it because career changers ask me whether their background counts. It does. The skills that made me good at this job, being organised under pressure and being comfortable in a room of senior people, came from outside marketing.
French is my first language, and having run programmes in four continents I've done this job in more than one market, which matters in a discipline that is mostly about people.
For companies
Host a student project. Get real work done.
Each cohort spends six weeks delivering a field marketing brief for one host company. You get a piece of work your team will use, from a group supervised by a practitioner, and first look at people who want to work in field marketing.
It costs you a brief and a little of your time; I'll agree the details with you before the cohort starts. If that sounds useful, tell me about your company and what you'd want done.
- A scoped brief agreed with you before the cohort starts
- Territory plan, target accounts, event design and follow-up plan as deliverables
- Every output reviewed by me before you see it
- Confidential briefs covered by a simple NDA
- A short check-in with you along the way, agreed up front
Hosting enquiry
Tell me about your company.
A few lines is enough. I'll reply within two working days and we can talk through what a brief could look like. There's no commitment at this stage.
